Packaging analysis
30×30 cm square music-box calendar: opening the door pops up a 3D snowman scene with magnetic dancing figures, collected over 24 days. Paper craft + music-box movement + magnetic linkage — among the most structurally complex formats; prototyping focuses on assembly tolerances between the movement and the paper art.
Frequently asked questions
Do pop-up mechanisms survive 24 openings?
Yes if engineered for it: specify the paper weight (250gsm+) and test the mechanism 50 cycles on the sample. Cheap pop-ups die by day 10.
Cost position?
Mid-range: one clever die plus hand-finishing. The wow factor per dollar is among the highest of all structures.
